Hello!
Ellison Lane has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She lives in rural southern Wisconsin with her husband and two children. They own and operate a dairy farm, have a large and lazy chocolate lab, and a crew of friendly barn cats. When she isn’t lost reading or writing a book, Ellison enjoys graphic design, and photography. Her children love to help in the kitchen with cooking and baking, and are always up for an adventure, big or small—maps are a plus! Ellison enjoys traveling to new places, especially with her sisters, and loves exploring Wisconsin and all its beauty.
MY STORY
I began writing my first novel in 2009 knowing nothing about being an author, the industry, or the "between-the-lines" rules and expectations for writing for an audience. After my third novel was written, I started taking the prospect of publishing seriously. I practiced, edits, re-wrote, and self-taught my way through many manuscripts. With the help and guidance of fellow authors I am proud to call myself an author!

In 2020, my novel WE HAVE JULY was picked up for a publishing contract. On the brink of its release, the publisher closed its doors. I took it upon myself to not allow my dreams to be crushed and die. With the help of a great group of fellow authors, I proudly published my first romance novel!

I am proud to write sweet romance novels appropriate for both my former students and grandmother, but still with a little edge for every type of reader. I love heartfelt stories of perseverance, strength, and pushing the boundaries past adverse conditions. My characters will have you cheering for them from the meet cute until the final kiss. And, as always, I promise a happily ever after.
